[7th April 2026] The Daystar Christian Fellowship (DCF) elected new leadership both at Nairobi and Main Campus Athi River. The newly elected officials have already assumed office following formal handover ceremonies held at the two campuses.

The elections, held on Tuesday, 24th March 2026, saw students participate in electing new officials to steer the Daystar Christian Fellowship for the next one year 2026-2027.

The results were formally released by the DCF Electoral Commission on Monday, 30th March 2026, in accordance with Article 7.4 of the DCF Constitution on Elections, and received by the University Chaplain's office.

The Chaplain Rev. Miano Weche expressed appreciation for students’ participation in the electoral process. He noted that their prayers and participation contributed immensely to the success of the electoral exercise. The Election Coordination and Direction (ECD) teams received specific commendation for their role in administering the polls.

The incoming leadership were presented to the community and commissioned during Chapel service on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. Formal transitions took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, when outgoing officials handed over the tools of office to their successors.

The new DCF officials for Main Campus Athi River are: 

  1. Timothy Mboya - Chairperson
  2. Joel Mwaura - Vice Chairperson
  3. Faith Chebet - Secretary
  4. Vanessa Avril - Vice Secretary
  5. Isaac Nasimiyu - Treasurer
  6. Alex Tanui - Missions, Bible Study, & Discipleship
  7. Mercy Kihu - Worship, Service, & Arts

DCF Nairobi Campus Officials are:

  1. Victor Mumo - Chairperson
  2. Juliana Mutheu - Vice Chairperson
  3. Kelcy Daniels - Secretary
  4. Ray Kahi - Vice Secretary
  5. Joy Shiluni – Treasurer
