DUSA council members

[Thursday April 17, 2025] Daystar University Students Association completed its elections today after voting into office a new Student Government comprising of DUSA Council and DUSA Congress.

The election of DUSA Council, which marked the climax of the process was done by Congress men and women, took place today, April 17, 2025. The following are the elect DUSA Council members for 2025/2026:

1. President Elect: Lewis Sekento - Nairobi Campus
2. Deputy President Elect: Okore Nadduli - Athi Campus
3. ISADU President Elect: Julien Kisembo -  Athi Campus
4. Secretary General Elect: Jerry Amimo George Ambuche - Athi Campus
5. Treasurer Person Elect: Purity Wangui - Athi Campus
6. Gubernatorial Person Elect Athi River Campus: Churchill Brightone Ooko 
7. Gubernatorial Person Elect Nairobi Campus: Ndungu Wilson Kanyago

Also elected were three Senior Congress members:

1. Speaker Elect Athi Campus: Nancy Nyokabi Mathenge
2. Clerk Elect Athi Campus: Risper Kanana
3. Sergent at Arms Elect: Marvon Kipchumba Jelimo

Election for the Congress persons took place on April 16, 2025, and the following congress persons have been elected to office:

School of Arts and Social Sciences

School of Science Engineering and Health

1. Ryanna Kinya - Athi River Campus
2. Bryson Kiplimo  - Athi River Campus

School of Business and Economics

School of Nursing

Prior to the elections, DUSA Council candidates participated in a debate on April 8, 2025. The debate featured the DUSA Treasurer, ISADU President, Campus Secretary (Athi), Campus Secretary (Nairobi), Secretary General, Deputy President and Presidential candidates.

The debate was moderators by Delphine Mutinda and Abdul Shaban, and facilitated by Victoria Momanyi.

The swearing in and handing over ceremony will take place on Thursday 28th April at the DAC Auditorium, Nairobi Campus, from 9:00am.
